Halikuna beach in about 2km from House Rania, is a peaceful retreat offering a seemingly endless sandy beach with a few tavernas serving local specialities. The lake Korission provides a safe haven for many rare bird species and this area has generally escaped the ravages of tourism. Apart from the main Prasoudi beach, other sandy coves such as Skidi, Kanouli and Prasoudi offer a quiet spot for sunbathing and the swimming is excellent. Despite its peaceful seclusion, Halikouna is just an easy drive of 8 kms from the popular beach resort of Agios Georgios (south) and 6 kms from the busy night life in Messonghi and Moraitika.
