Palaiokastritsa - Corfu, Ionian Islands (Greece)

Paleokastritsa gets its name from the old Byzantine castle of Angelokastro which overlooks the bays of Paleokastritsa and is situated just outside Krine village. It is perhaps more famous though for the magnificent views of the area from Bella Vista near Lakones and for its Monastery dating from the 13th Century situated on a tree covered promontory.

Since long time ago is the first place in Corfu, that was very attractive to the tourist, that's why so many hotels have been built in the area. There you can find everything you need, along the street are many restaurants, bars, minimarkets and souvenirshops.

At the beaches there are windsurfing and diving school, water ski, paraflying and many boots excursions which thea bring you in some very quiet sandy beaches.
